Dr. Handley and Commonwealth Psychological & Educational Consultants are committed to keeping our services affordable and protecting your privacy.
Typically, payment is expected when services are provided. Many clients prefer to pay for services without requesting reimbursement from an insurance company. For others, there are a few options available to help clients pay for our services.
Request Reimbursement from an Insurance Company All clients receive a monthly statement detailing the services received in the prior month. Statements contain the information needed for most health insurance companies to process a claim. We are happy to assist you with additional forms or information, if needed, in order to help you receive maximum reimbursement. Unfortunately, we cannot submit claims on clients' behalf. We are not participants in any health plans, but all health plans have the ability to identify Dr. Handley as a recognized health care provider.
Payment Plan For clients who can benefit from an extended period of payment for services, we are happy to discuss a payment plan that may make services more affordable. Most of our services qualify for a payment plan.
Payments may be made using Cash, Check, and Major Credit Card via e-mail using PayPal.
A note about managed care health plans... Clients often ask why we do not participate as providers in any managed care plans.
There are two reasons for this decision.
1) Accepting reimbursement for services requires that we follow rigid rules for how services are provided, billed and documents. We will not allow insurance companies to "manage" our relationships with our clients.
2) Participating in managed care often requires us to hand over private information about our clients to their insurance companies. We choose to avoid that whenever possible.
It is for these reasons that we offer the payment options described above. We offer effective and practical solutions that meet your needs...not the needs of your insurance company.
